Dr. Su is a bacteriologist and genetic engineer. He received his Ph.D. from China Agricultural University in 2000 and worked as a post-doctoral fellow and research scientist in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He continued his research at the College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati. Dr. Su joined Microbial Robotics as the Director, MicrobialBots and GeRM™ Engineering in 2014 and is consulting as a scientific community manager in Open Therapeutics. His interest is to develop synthetic biology products and applications for improving human health and environmental bioremediation. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
